Georgia Primary Health Care Association (GAPHC)
Federal Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Expansion and Development Grant
Through resources provided by Georgia Department of Community Health, the Georgia Association for Primary Health Care (GAPHC) is providing a grant opportunity to submit an application to receive funds to assist in the development of Federal Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) throughout Georgia. FQHC improves the health of underserved communities and vulnerable populations by providing access to comprehensive, culturally competent, quality primary health care services. This grant effort is intended to stimulate the initial steps to pursue federal FQHC status. Communities receive preference that indicates the greatest potential for federal approval based on expected FQHC’s application criteria. The potential site must show the ability to utilize limited funds to bridge resources to initiate comprehensive health care activities and maintain operations until federal designation is approved. The potential FQHC organization – a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization – must demonstrate a strong project readiness to carry out expected FQHC health services within your area.
